In an effort to do my bit for the planet, I set the Millennia Challenge as a competition to solve the Value Problem: how to decide the best use of thing or its value in use. A deceptively simple question that is monumentally difficult to answer.
There is only one condition to be awarded a prize. The test is that the solution to the best use of a thing be more probable than the economist's solution to the best use of a thing - perfect markets. A solution that, no matter how many times repeated, the planet refuses to prove as correct.
In this podcast I introduce the idea of how the science of value might hold the solution to turning things around. .
